We made our candles today! 100% soy wax aromatherapy candles! Love these smells in my house, Eucalyptus Lemongrass, Rosemary Lavender, and Patchouli Sandalwood! They will be in the store soon! Making them was fun, I don't know if it was the magical powers of the essential oils or the mimosas but we were feeling great!! LOL Keep an eye out for them in the shop!
Also check out this awesome wire wrapped quartz necklace! The quartz comes straight from the ranch our husbands work at. Can't wait to see the other stuff she makes!

Summer Look
So I've been saying my summer look is Xena Princess Warrior meets stay at home mom but I guess it could be a boho warrior look.. this is so me.
But with an arm band, Of course.
But in a field wondering if the stain on my dress from me or Lando?
But seriously I'm probably going to whip out my crochet bell-bottoms this summer.
Or maybe I can just use some of the extra twine from the teepee? Seriously though its all about post apocalyptic sun-bathing. I know I sound like I'm joking but I'm so serious...
btw these all came from Pinterest so don't even ask.
So me though!... but with a little monster toddler on my hip.
California Life
We are some of the lucky few who are blessed enough to be able to ride at the historic El Rancho Guejito in beautiful Southern California. This Ranch is the reason we relocated to California from Texas and I'm Glad we did!

DIY Teepee
This was a fun and easy project! Lando needed the upgrade and I hate buying things I feel like I can make so I had to at least try! I didn't feel like cutting or sewing too much so I just draped it, I might sew it better later on but I think it's fine for now.. I'm not lazy just busy :P
I got everything at home depot. All you need is
1. 5 Poles $3 each
2. Painters Canvas- $10
3. Drill
4.Twine or rope $4
We drilled holes 8" from the top. You don't have to do this but we wanted it to be secure because my son is wild. Then we pulled the twine through the holes to connect them all
We wrapped the twine and stood them up. We used twine because it looked more authentic to use but im sure you can use whatever you like.
I draped the cloth around and just sewed some stiches at the top to keep it together. The cloth is the wrong shape we just tucked the extra material under for now or you can cut it off. They have patterns but I ain't got no time for that! :P
I just threw some blankets and pillows down and it's done!! Lando loves it!

Jalepeño Poppers
This is my husbands favorite thing to make. He also stuffs and grills tomatoes and banana peppers if you don't like spicy. These are at all of our bbq's its a party fave. I found this on a site called 'I Love to Cook'. Yes. It's ironic.
Ryley Walker
What do country girls listen to? Everything duh, we get bored out here sometimes. I'm totally into this whole album by Ryley Walker. Not to mention he taught my mom how to shotgun a beer. Listen and enjoy!

Goat Life
So, my husband came home with a baby goat! I've been wanting a goat so I was really excited! Turns out he didn't bring her for me, this kids momma abandoned her and she starved for almost 2 days. In order to keep her alive we had to bottle feed goat milk but she was so weak she could barely suck the bottle. We had to hold her head up and let the milk drip down.
After a few ounces she seemed to have gained some energy and started to try and get up and also peed a couple times. We felt she was doing better so we decided to not cancel our trip to the gym. She was so cute and strong-willed.
She died in my arms. My husband said "That's just how it goes sometimes." Guess it is.

This is where my mother's family grew up. When I look at this photo I feel nostalgic. Warm memories of playing in the tall fields, feeding animals and the smell of sunflowers.
